The Abich Group was originally set up in Verbania, Italy, within the incubator of the technology park of Lake Maggiore, in 2002. Abich was an innovative start-up since its birth, and what we do is the result of constant innovation, experimentation and customization of our protocols.
Between 2003 and 2013 Abich created ALLTOX, a spin-off company developed in collaboration with the Molecular and Cellular Immunology Laboratory of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. The initiative was focused on developing innovative in-vitro methods for skin allergy testing, offering a scientific alternative to traditional testing. Many of these methods are now officialised in OECD or EU guidelines. Just a year later, in 2004, Abich was awarded the National Innovation Prize by Unioncamere, recognizing its commitment to research and the development of alternative testing methods. Since then, Abich has steadily expanded its activities, specializing in research, clinical studies, and analytical services for cosmetics, personal care products, medical devices, and natural health products.
With its cutting-edge technology and a strong scientific base, Abich supports companies throughout the entire product life-cycle – from formulation and testing to regulatory compliance and introduction on the market – ensuring both safety and competitiveness.
In 2014 Abich widens its scope by setting up Abich Inc. in Montreal, Canada, registered with the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) for SPF (Sun Protection Factor) testing, and also builds an additional clinical division facility for cosmetic testing on healthy volunteers in Vimodrone in 2016.
In 2022 Abich joins the Lifeanalytics group, enhancing and differentiating its services. Joining the Lifeanalytics group marked the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us, allowing us to expand and enhance our range of services and solutions.

Abich offers research and analytical services, supported by innovative technologies, for the cosmetics, personal care and natural health industries. Our goal is to assist our customers during the complete life cycle of a product, from the starting formulation to market release, improving its competitiveness through a high-quality profile and compliance to both regulatory requirements and consumer expectations.
Abich has a clinical division, as well as cell and molecular biology, microbiology and analytical chemistry divisions. Each of these divisions can perform highly specialized tests or collaborate with the others for wide-range, complex analyses.
Abich internally developed a clinical division specifically dedicated to perform safety tests and tolerability and efficacy assays on healthy volunteers.
